Job Description

The North Manchester Jewish Cemeteries Trust maintain a number of cemeteries across Greater Manchester.

We are looking for a full time person to assist in a number of roles.

Duties will include:

• Groundworks and building maintenance work.
• Using mechanical digger and other equipment.
• Preparation of graves.
• Transportation of deceased
• Supporting the officiating Rabbi during the Levaya
• Back filling the grave after the Levaya

Person must be able bodied, have a UK driving licence be presentable and act in a totally respectful manner at all times.

Experience and skills Required

• UK Driving license
• Compassionate nature and presentable
• While full job training will be given a working knowledge and appreciation of correct halachic practices is desirable
