Office Administrator

Hours: 9am - 1pm
Salary: Circa £15 per hour

Job Description

Duties include:

  • Assist the development of the philosophy, goals and objectives for the administrative practice
  • Implement action to meet and maintain administrative and financial procedures
  • Communicate face to face with residents and visitors in a friendly manner
  • To maintain administrative skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice
  • To provide administrative services for Beenstock Home in accordance with current best practice
  • To supervise the administrative services within Beenstock Home in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, and the homes policies
  • Be aware of promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
  • Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, members of staff have a duty to report concerns about abuse or neglect
  • Develop effective working relationships with other Beenstock Home employees
  • Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships
  • Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation and induction of all new employees
  • Support the effective resolution of team conflicts
  • Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Promote a positive image for the people and employees of Beenstock Home

Experience and skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills: Ensure peoples monthly invoices are sent on time, recording receipt of payments
  • Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with a wide range of people ensuring outside contractors sign in and follow correct procedures.
  • Excellent problem solving skills: Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise and seek support from others when required
  • Experience of basic accounting and book keeping: Ensuring accurate records of small financial transactions and ability to check invoices and input on SAGE.
  • Stock management: Ordering and management of supplies needed for smooth running of the home eg. stationary; hygiene products.
  • HR skills: Supporting role in ensuring that all staff HR files contain the correct information eg. DBS; visas; references.
