Senior Psychology Tutor AS/A-Level (OCR)

Hours: Tuesdays & Wednesdays 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm
Salary: £25 per hour

Duties include:

To deliver high-quality lessons and tutoring, to students across the age and ability range.
To assess and monitor student progress.
To create a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all students feel valued and supported
To effectively utilise a variety of delivery methods and resources to enhance learning and meet the needs of all students.
To communicate regularly with the Head of Department to update them on the learner’s progress and provide feedback ensuring early intervention is provided in order to support learner progress.
To participate in staff meetings, undertaking CPD with the relevant examination boards and other professional development requirements.
To carry out any other duties commensurate to the post as required.

Relevant subject related qualification at Degree Level and/or relevant teaching experience
Teaching qualification
Experience in working/teaching in Childcare and/or Health and Social care settings
Knowledge of the curriculum requirements for the course ( CACHE NCFE Applied General Award in Childcare) - Information can be found online
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/carers
Ability to effectively monitor student attainment and use data to improve performance.
